Keep your biometric machine: how VegaHQ syncs your existing fingerprint and face-attendance devices straight into payroll, with no hardware replacement
Connect your existing biometric attendance devices to VegaHQ for seamless payroll integration without hardware replacement.
Don't Replace Your Biometric Machine. Connect It to Your Payroll Instead
If your office already has a fingerprint or face-attendance terminal on the wall, you may assume a modern HRMS means ripping it out. It doesn't. Here's how VegaHQ works with the hardware you own, and what changes once the two are connected.
01The real problem is the export, not the device
Most attendance machines capture punches reliably. The trouble starts at month-end: someone pulls a USB file, fixes missing codes in Excel, cross-checks leave and then types totals into payroll. That's a day or two of work, and every step is a chance for errors.
02How the device sync works
In VegaHQ, you add each terminal from the Attendance section. From then on, punch logs flow in automatically and map to employee codes. Multiple branches with their own machines all land in one dashboard.
03Rules get applied the moment a punch arrives
Once a punch is in, VegaHQ applies your shift timings, grace periods, approved leave and holidays. Missing punches show up right away, so the gaps get fixed during the month and don't pile up at payroll time.
04From punch to payslip
Because attendance is already clean, payroll pulls paid days directly. HR reviews the exceptions instead of rebuilding the whole sheet. Employees can also see their own attendance in the mobile app, which means fewer disputes.
05My take
If your machines are less than five years old and working, keep them. Connect them to VegaHQ and spend the money on something else. Add GPS mobile attendance only for field staff who never pass a terminal. Replace hardware only when it actually fails, not because your software demands it.
